Mi chiamo Salvatore e sono un fotografo che vive e lavora in Calabria (Italia).

La frenesia che la tecnologia e il mondo digitale impongono, ha fatto nascere la necessità di rallentare il mio vivere, donando nuova linfa alla creatività. Ho riscoperto il piacere della calma e dell’attesa con la fotografia analogica.

Le mie fotografie, esclusivamente su pellicola 35mm in bianco e nero, sono scattate con fotocamere meccaniche e le stampe realizzate in camera oscura. Un piccolo spazio da me costruito dove la stampa è il risultato finale di un processo meticoloso e attento, totalmente artigianale.

My name is Salvatore, I am a photographer and I live and work in Calabria (Italy).

The frenzy that technology and the digital world impose, has given rise to me the need to slow down the rhythm of my life, giving new life to creativity. Thanks to analogic photography I rediscoverd the quiet contemplation of pausing and allowing prints to develop.

My photos, which are exclusively printed on a 35mm black and white film, are taken with mechanical cameras, and then developed in the darkroom. I built this little space myself where the print is the final result of a completely handmade, meticulous and careful process.
